There’s a girl named Cady who joins a cool group in high school called “The Plastics.” The leader, Regina George, is a tough girl. Cady makes a mistake by liking Regina’s ex-boyfriend, causing some drama. Regina gets hurt, so she teams up with her outsider friends, Janis and Damian, to fight with Regina and her group.
In January 2020, Paramount Pictures confirmed the Mean Girls movie. Jeff Richmond and Nell Benjamin, who made the songs for the stage musical, came back to tweak them for the film. Richmond also composed the movie’s score.
In December 2022, they shared the news that Angourie Rice, Auliʻi Cravalho, and Jaquel Spivey are going to be in the movie as Cady, Janis, and Damian. René Rapp, who played Regina in the musical, will also play Regina in the movie.
